From right, Dr. Karla Kennedy, Roosevelt H.S. newspaper adviser Melody Hughes, Karol Gottfredson, and Roosevelt H.S. student journalist Maggie Glover attended the Oregon League of Minority Voters 2013 Liberty and Hope Awards Dinner. Roosevelt Senior High is the recipient of the OID Innovations in Diversity Grant. The school is in its second year of the printing of its newspaper and the students were awarded honors in the Student Media Olympics sponsored by NWSP.
